OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The Unification of Disabled Latin Americans, U.D.L.A is a non-profit organization. Founded in 1974 by and for physically challenged individuals. The main goal of U.D.L.A is to dedicate and commit to improving the quality of life for those individuals with disabilities. Creating a safe place and being a platform for those to gain their self-esteem to be productive members of society. In keeping with our mission, all of our U.D.L.A  staff are disabled people of all types.

WHY DOES U.D.L.A EXIST AND WHOM DOES IT EXIST FOR?

For  48 years U.D.L.A has been instrumental in providing quality services to approximately 30.000 individuals annually. We provide services for disabled individuals of all types and non-disabled individuals of LA County, including children, youth and senior citizens. Also, one of our main purposes is to unite all of the ethnic groups in our communities; So they may work together as good neighbors throughout many community events beneficial to all Los Angeles County residents.

HOW AND WHAT DOES U.D.L.A. SERVE TO THE COMUNITY?

Yearly, the U.D.L.A. reaches out and offers forms of assistance to thousands of disabled individuals and their families, many which are from low income homes and have not been receiving the benefits of social services in the United States of America.

FUNDING

The U.D.L.A. funding comes from fund-raising efforts such as grants, sponsorship and donations. we as a nonprofit play a crucial role in our community and fulfill the needs in all areas of society for people with all needs in all areas and ages. it would be a great honor to receive your financial support to help us with the expenses in continuing to give our disabled community and their families the security in living a normal, safe and productive life. We are section 501 (c) (3) organization and all donations are tax deductible.
